HKIUS – Ir Damien KU Scholarship
The Damien Ku Scholarship was announced to establish on 5th September 2013 during the 10th HKIUS anniversary dinner by Ir Dr. King Wong. The establishment of the scholarship was not only to commemorate Ir Damien Ku’s contribution in utility industry, but also to promote the utility specialist.
The scholarship commenced in 2013 and will be awarded from June, 2014. It grants up to HK$50,000.00 each year for completing a successful proposal. It welcomes all tertiary students for studies, proposals or researches. Secondary students are also welcome for projects as well.

Requirements
- Applicants are required to complete the application form with photo.
- Applicants are also required to submit a proposal with at least 2000 words about utility industry such as how to promote utility industry.
Eligibility
All tertiary and secondary students are welcome to apply this scholarship.
Amount
Up to HK$50,000 each year
Conditions of Award
Scholarships are renewable each year, subject to requirements stipulated in the award.
Selection criteria
Scholarships will be awarded to those who write a outstanding proposal which give valuable ideas, analysis or etc on utility industry.
Result
Scholarship awards will be announced around 2 months after the deadline of application.
