香港地下管綫稠密度應該是世界第一。要凖確地探測管綫位置，深度，需要標準、由專業人員處理、核實，才有保障。如果加上專業保險制度，對用家的保障將更加提升。
有見及此，香港管綫專業學會於2018年12月01日起，為所有專業會員提供的探測服務投保專業責任保險。
為令各界人士可以深入了解，本會已於2018年11月30日舉行了一個簡介會，同場還有探測示範

To promote understanding on the recent situation of Utility Surveys, Safety and Management. HKIUS & IIUS organized an one-day conference with captioned theme and successfully completed in full hall of participants.

10th August 2018 One-day Conference - The Secret and Mystery of Utility Surveys, Safety and Management
18th Apr 2018 Technical Visit by Singapore Lands Authority
This is a part of the 5-day study visit of Singapore ETH Centre, Singapore Land Authority, City of Zurich, others including SEC management, and people from the Urban Redevlopment Authority and urban planners.
The Singapore side is developing an initiative called Digital Underground and wishes to learn the experience of HK. HKIUS is sharing the details of utility professions, BIM of Underground as well as Integrated Database Management System (IDMS).
