The 16th International Conference on Pipelines and Trenchless Technology (ICPTT) and the 7th International Conference on Utilities Management and Safety (ICUMAS)

This event brought together global experts, researchers, and industry professionals to exchange ideas, showcase innovative research, and explore cutting-edge technologies in pipeline and utilities management, rehabilitation, and modernization. It served as a platform to promote advancements in urban underground pipeline infrastructure and foster international collaboration within the field.

The conference was expertly organized by leading institutions, including the International Institute of Utility Specialists (IIUS). A key highlight of the event was the IIUS Inauguration Ceremony, held on 6th November 2025, during which certificates were presented to the newly appointed IIUS Council Members and Honorary Members, recognizing their dedication to advancing utility management and safety worldwide.

As one of the supporting organizations, we are honored to have contributed to the success of this event and to the continued progress of the pipeline and trenchless technology sector. Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Construction of the Utility Training Centre, Leung Choi Lane, Tuen Mun

The Hong Kong Institute of Utility Specialists (HKIUS) held a Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Construction of the Utility Training Centre at Leung Choi Lane, Tuen Mun, this morning. The event was officiated by the President, Mr. YUE Kwok-leung, Tony, and Executive Director, Ir Dr. King WONG. Ir LAM Tat Ming, Terence, Principal Assistant Secretary (Works) 5 of the Development Bureau, served as the Guest of Honour.

Since its establishment in 2002, the HKIUS has been dedicated to promoting industry development, enhancing survey standards, and advancing professional training with a focus on the “Three Pillars” of standardization, systemization, and professionalization. The soon-to-be-built Utility Training Centre will serve as a development hub for industry practitioners, supporting Hong Kong’s future infrastructure development and the growing needs of the sector.

At the ceremony, Mr. YUE Kwok-leung, Tony, Ir Dr. King WONG, and Ir LAM Tat Ming, Terence, joined government departments, public organizations, professional bodies, community leaders, and school representatives in the groundbreaking. Together, they marked the beginning of the construction of this important training centre.
